It is a university city along the River Severn with a population of about 100,000 people. IT is famous for being the home of Royal Worcester Porcelain, composer Edward Elgar, and Lea & Perrin’s famous Worcestershire sauce.
The current Worcester Cathedral construction started in 1084 and was completed in 1504. It was founded in 680. Its official name is Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Mary the Virgin of Worcester.
